Colours Galore!

Hey ladies!

I just wanted to share my polish collection with you!  So far, I have 60 colours (I'm obsessed with spelling 'colors' the good ol' England way lol)!  I can't wait to add more to my treasure.  There's already about five colours that I've yet to try but what can I say?  I'm obsessed!

Hello ladies!

I haven't posted in a few months... I've been so busy with school and work that I haven't had much time to sit down and post.  I've done lots of cute designs over the last couple of months that I wish I would've shared with you.  I still haven't gotten that digital camera I know I'm going to need in order to take better pictures but I have set a goal to get it at the beginning of August!

Anyway!  I did have my boyfriend snap a pic of these cute nails I did that I just have to share with you.  I got the idea from iMarlene25 on YouTube.  Here's the link: Colorful Leopard Nails

The look is super simple and cute and you can use whatever colors you want!  Here's how my nails turned out...

You can tell I didn't do too good at clean up lol.

Cute, huh?  It took me less than an hour to finish this look because drying time wasn't too long.  My boyfriend loved it!  And let me tell you, he isn't always as fascinated by nail art as i am!  :)  I hope you get to try this out and if you do let me know how it turns out!

What I used:
Sinful Colors: Black on Black
Sinful Colors: Nirvana
Studio M: Gold Glitter

Stay Fabulous ladies!  I'll talk to you next time.

Ideas for my next design

Hello fellow nail-doers!

I hope you enjoyed all of my nail designs that I posted today!  I think I'm going to start thinking of a design for my next post.  I think I want to do a design based on my favorite book!  I will be so excited if they turn out cute!  I am just starting to do nail art and it's very exciting!  I love getting compliments and saving extra $ from not having to go to the salon.  If you have any ideas or advice, please leave them in the comments below.  Thanks you!

Adorable Rebel

Hello!

My next design is another inspiration from Mixed Mama's blog.  I know, another one? but I love all of her designs and she was the first blogger I ever encountered that did nails.  So you can say that she's the reason I decided to blog about mine :).  (I don't mean to sound creepy lol)  But her design was so cute I just wanted to try it.

Blurry pic, I'm sorry!  But I plan to invest in a digital camera in the near future!
Super cute girl rebel skull design by Mixed Mama.  Recreated by Kellee Fiasco.

 What I did:
I used Avon Speed Dry in Strawberry for all my nails in three coats.  I then painted on hearts in Sinful Colors Snow Me White.  I drew the skull per Mixed Mama's directions but added a nose and I did the bow in color instead of black, Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, I drew in the face with Sinful Colors Hot Spot.  I then put one thin layer of Studio M Nail Lacquer in Magic Attraction to give my skull girl some pop.  I finished with a coat of Sally Hansen Invisible

I hope you like this look!  Thanks Mixed Mama for such a cute look!  Be sure to check her blog out!  Don't forget to subscribe and comment if you like it, Thanks!

Splatter Paint Nails

Hi!
For my next look I wanted to attempt a design I saw on Mixed Mamas blog.  In the comments of one of her pics I asked how she did her designs and she gave me a link to some dotting tools I could buy.  A week late, I had them and have been enjoying them ever since.  Mixed Mama is really nice and my favorite blog to get design inspiration.
Here's the design from where I took inspiration.  Click Here to see Mixed Mama's Splatter Paint Design

What I did:
1st I painted my nails with two coats of Sinful Color Snow Me White.
What I ended up with.

Aren't they cute?!
To see how it's done, visit the link I posted above.  Make sure you make the drops of nail polish big enough because you're basically going to drag the polish into the different angles and designs.  It also takes forever to dry because it gets so thick but the finished product is fantastic!

What I used:
Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Sinful Colors Pink Forever
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Sinful Colors Fly Away
Sally Hansen Invisible

Let me know what you think!  I have another design to show you shortly!

Amateur Water Marbling

Hello!
I've been attempting a lot of different things with my nails this past week but I've been so busy I haven't had the chance to post them.  So I have three looks to share with you today.  I'll post them separately so I can tell you how I did them.
My first look was my first attempt at water marbling...  please be kind haha.  I actually think they turned out pretty good for a first timer.  It was a bit difficult to get the hang of but I eventually figured it out and I was on a roll!  Sorry in advance if the pictures are blurry. :(

I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Innocent.  Now, Innocent is a light green color that I probably shouldn't have used for water marbling.  I read so many blogs about using a pale color like white but I thought I'd be adventurous and use green... well you use a pale color for a reason.  The green kind of changed the overall color scheme I was going for.  Even though it was dry when I put the water marble on top, I guess the tint didn't mix well or something.  So instead of a pretty royal blue, my nails ended up a purple color.  Well, you live and you learn!!

After the base coat, I taped up each of my fingers with scotch tape so that only the nails were showing.  I dipped each one of my fingers into room temperature water that I had added droplets of my favorite colors to.  Make sure you wait until you nails are dry to take off the tape!  (I made that mistake) For more of a visual explanation look up a video on Youtube, just type in Nail Water Marbling.

This is what I ended up with:

It's far from perfect but I think it looked great for a first try!  I received lots of compliments on it!  What I've learned?  This look takes A LOT of patience

What I used:

Sinful Colors Innocent
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Avon Speed Dry Strawberry
Sinful Colors Invisible

I hope you enjoyed my first real blog.  For some reason, this took forever to post!  Look out for my next blog and please subscribe!

Hi!  This is my first blog so I'm very nervous but excited to get started.  This blog will mostly be about my journey to healthy nails.   The idea to blog my adventure came randomly since I've never blogged in my life.

I've been obsessed with my nails for the past six or so months.  I want them to be strong and healthy and pretty :).  I've been studying a lot of ways to do different designs on Youtube and through other bloggers and I've learned some interesting and fun things about nails!  But something was always missing.  Maybe I didn't look good enough, but I never came across a blog about someone just starting out.

I thought it would be nice to learn right along someone so that we can share stories and mistakes and knowledge.  And eventually feel triumph at each others success!  So here I am... ready and willing to post all of my experiments with nails and other interesting things.  I hope someone will eventually want to read this and find it entertaining.
